Winter Blast Bridal Show 2014!!

Instead of trying to catch up on all of our progress and happenings last year, I decided to start from scratch for this year. I have some new things I want to cover, and just can't find the time to do both, so if you would like to see how much we have grown in the past 3 years, feel free to explore our website and Facebook pages.

In the mean time, I would like to start posting about the awesome things we have been working on in 2014, starting with the our first bridal show from January. Here are some photos of our booth!

Our cake samples were: Goldilocks (Butter Vanilla cake w/Vanilla BC), Dark Queen (Chocolate Fudge cake w/Chocolate BC), & Banana Bo Peep (Banana cake w/Cream Cheese Frosting)! Everyone loved our samples and we got over a dozen weddings from this ONE event! For our first bridal show ever, I think it was definitely a success!

Our Tasting Station with 6 additional buttercream flavors to sample: Strawberry, Mocha, Almond, Raspberry, Bailey's Irish Cream, & White Chocolate!! Everyone loved it, so we will definitely include the Tasting Station again next year!

My gorgeous mother-in-law, Kellie! She was my wingman (or wing-woman!) for the day!

Lace & Pearls cake!

Buttercream Pink & Gray cake!

Pleats & Drapes cake!

Rustic Burlap cake! Sorry it's so blurry. It's the only photo I got of this cake for some reason..

Silver Swirls & Purple Orchids!

Navy Blue Chevron cake!

Our raffle! We gave away a tower of treats, including: Cookies, Chocolate Covered Oreos™, & Homemade Marshmallows, as well as a gift certificate to Storybook Bakery!

After the bridal show, we held two weekends of back-to-back consultations and tastings, known as Wedding Weekend. There is NO Tasting Fee for consultations held during Wedding Weekends.

I am happy to say that we held 18 consultations during our 3 Wedding Weekends and booked 15 of those cakes! With already almost 20 wedding cakes on the schedule 2014 is looking to be our best year yet!

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I’ve finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.- DAVE BARRY
